Beijing - Day 3

Today was our last full day in Beijing. We have had fun but are both ready to get back. It's been a fun, but exhausting week. Today we started out the morning by hopping on the subway and heading to Olympic stadium. Even though the Beijing 08 Olympics were over 5 years ago, it's still cool to see where they took place. The subway brought us directly there and as soon as we came out if the subway station, there if was! I had been here in 2010, but its always fun to come back. We walked around the Birds Nest and the Water Cube. We decided not to pay to go inside the Birds Nest and the Warer Cube is now an indoor water park. After walking around, we got back in the subway to go and do some shopping.

Sometimes I don't like bartering and just want a set price but it is a cool, cultural experience. We were ble to get some good deals. After a few hours of shopping, we headed back to our hostel and gran a quick dinner before the Chinese Acrobat show! Oh my... it was amazing! I know everyone who has gone says its great, but it truly is. I'm so glad Laura and undecided to go. It's been so long since I've been to any sort of concert or show, so it was wonderful to get out.

It was another busy but fun filled day! Tomorrow we are thinking of getting peticures and doing some last minute shopping before checking out and heading to the airport. It's been fun, but I'm ready to be back in Zhongshan and see my babies!
