“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11
I have an amazing family. No really, I DO. Are we perfect? Absolutely not. But they are the strength that gets me through. I can’t even tell you how amazing and supportive they have been with what I am doing. Is it hard for them? Absolutely. And I miss them so much. But they love me enough to let me go fulfill the calling the Lord has placed on my heart. And during the days that I don’t even know if I want to be here…. they remind me how I am right where God wants me.
I would not be who I am today without my family and especially my parents. They have had to “let go” and let me learn the hard way sometimes but they knew it was for my own good.
One thing that I am sure about… is that I have THE most incredible earthly father. He’s the best Dad a girl could ever ask for. He loves me, supports me, and most importantly, prays for me. He holds me up when I have no strength and holds me when I need to be held. He listens to my struggles and sorrows. It’s going to take one very special man to convince my father to let me marry him one day. I am that loved and that blessed.
One struggle of being overseas, is missing out on holiday’s. And most recently it was Father’s Day. I felt extra bad because last Father’s Day I was not at a very good place in my life and so I felt like I missed out on that one too. But thankfully my Daddy still loves me.
Happy Father’s Day Dad! Can’t wait to see you in 7 weeks! You are the best Dad a girl could ever ask for.

How precious it is to have an early father like yours, one who loves the heavenly father, who loves you and lifts you up at your darkest moments, who encourages, who prays for you and who will only let you go into the arms of a man who can take care of you as well as he did. I know because I have one to. :)
