Dear Little One

Dear Little One,

You are home now, in our arms. After seven weeks of lying in a hospital bed, all alone, although you were really never alone, you are here at the foster home where you are loved and cherished. We have been praying for you, rooting for you, and anxiously awaiting this day when you would be here in our arms. You have been through so much, sweet baby boy. Left to be found when you were only a few days old, brought to an orphanage, then brought to us where you were directly admitted into the hospital. In your two months of life, you have undergone three surgeries. Three surgeries is more than some people experience in a lifetime and you have gone through that in just two months. You are learning what it means to trust and be loved. You cry a lot, even when you are held. You have not been held much in your life and you don't know that this is a good thing. A very good thing. When you cry, we will pick you up. We will love on you, like you deserve to be loved. And we are praying, Little One, for your forever family even now. God is not done with you yet, your life is a miracle. Your name means "Praise" and we will praise Him always. Praise Him for the miracle of your life and praise Him for what He has done, is doing, and will do. You, sweet child, are loved and cherished. Allow us to love and cherish you.

Love Always,
Anneli
