Day 18 of Thankfulness: Water

I am thankful for water.
Some of you may be thinking that this is a funny thing to be thankful for. I am thankful for it for several reasons. The first is being thankful for safe drinking water. I live in a country at the moment, where we can not drink out of the faucet. The only water we can drink is bottled water or boil the tap water before we drink it. I miss tap water as I am not a bottled water loving girl. However, I have just had to get used to it here. In light of the recent typhoon that hit the Philippines and the devastation and lack of clean drinking water there, I am even more thankful for good, safe water.
The other type of water I am thankful for is bodies of water. I love lakes, oceans, ponds, pools, etc. For those of you who know me and my family, know that I grew up in a swimming family. I swam competitively for 15 years  and swimming because so much a my life. Not only was it a sport I loved but also it became my comfort, something I will do when I become anxious. Whether it's swimming or just sitting by water, it brings me comfort and peace.

  1. There are still a lot of people that have yet to experience purified drinking water, so you're right in having to be thankful. And it's good to see that you are abstaining from buying bottled water and actually boil your own water. If you think it is still not enough, maybe exploring other methods can help you settle on which type is best for you? Either way, take care!

  2. Water is a major blessing to man. It is a natural coolant, as well as a source of nutrition. Now, bottled water is often viewed as proof that the water in one's surroundings is unhealthy and unfit for human consumption. But even in places where tap water is good to drink, bottled water is sometimes still preferred – because not only can they be therapeutic by virtue of their minerals, but they are easier to carry. At the very least, it lets stores bring pure, clean water directly to consumers' hands with just a simple purchase.
