5 years ago today I wrote my first post here.
Definitely not the most exciting post I've ever written!
Definitely not the most exciting post I've ever written!
I really didn't get any good (or consistent at least, still not sure if I'm good at it or not!) at blogging until I traveled to China for the first time in 2010.
That's when I REALLY began blogging.
And blogging A lot.
Since then I have tried to stay consistent.
In honor of my "5 year blogging anniversary," I decided to do something fun and different for me.
In honor of my "5 year blogging anniversary," I decided to do something fun and different for me.
I have followed other blogs who have done a "give-a-way" and it sounds like so much fun!
For those of you who know me, know that I have this obsession with scarves.
Really... it's bad.
If there was a support group for being addicted to scarves.... let's jest say that I would be an active member.
Therefore it only felt appropriate to give away a scarf for my give-a-way.
I am giving away this scarf from China.
I am giving away this scarf from China.
Now let's get the facts straight here.
It's not just "made in China" but also "BOUGHT in China!"
There is a difference!
It's not just "made in China" but also "BOUGHT in China!"
There is a difference!
I bartered hard for it!
Now here's the deal. All you have to do is "follow" What Faith Can Do and leave a comment letting me know you want to be entered..
If you leave a comment, you get one entry.
If you follow (or are already a follower) AND leave a comment you get two entries.

Now for those of you lurkers, this is your chance to let me know you are here!
I'd love to hear from you all and if I don't know you, tell me a bit about yourself and how you learned about What Faith Can Do.
If you don't want to post is "publicly," send me an email at annelifjohnson@gmail.com.
Give-a-way will end Sunday, March 24th @ midnight (EST).
Now if no one enters I will just have to keep the scarf and I really DON'T want to do that (and I'd feel rather silly).
Hope you'll play along!
Due to cost of shipping, winners need to have a US mailing address.

I really enjoy following you!
ReplyDeleteRachel, I love following yours as well! And now that I'm back in the states, hopefully I can try some of those delicious recipes you always post. Although I'm trying NOT to gain 100 lbs. while I'm home. ;-) And yes, technology and blogging makes me feel NOT so far away when I'm in China. Gotta love the internet!
Deletealso, I love the scarf--it's gorgeous! your blog makes me feel like you are much closer than China!
ReplyDeletefloral&fudge

DeleteAnd for another entry, I just followed your blog!
ReplyDeleteJust found you! I can't wait to go through old post and read your journey to China. What Faith Can Do is create miracles.
ReplyDeleteThank you likeschocolate! So glad you are enjoying my blog!
DeleteOk, you got me. I am a stalker. Now I have to comment. I love your scarf and I am in. I read your blog ALL the time. Would I be considered a follower since I have just stalked you for the past year?
ReplyDeleteOh Rachel you are too funny. :-) I suppose that counts...
DeleteI just started following your site a couple of months ago. I love what you do and love your photography ability! I don't remember how I found your blog but I'm sure it was an adoption connection some how. We have adopted 2 from China and are hoping to travel for our third at the end of the month. We have 16 almost 17 children and when my father saw that I was reading your blog he told me I better stop or I will end up with even more kids. I told him not to worry about that but I sure wouldn't mind.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be entered into your drawing. I was looking through the three scarves I have and thought that I need more and some fun ones.
Keep up the good work in your life and on your blog.
Deanne
Wow.... 17 children! Blessings to you, my friend! I want a big family someday but not sure if I could handle 17 children... but who knows! God's plan is so much better than mine.
DeleteThank you for entering and for following!
Commenting and following your blog. Enter me! :) (I'm in Canada but would be able to have it sent to an American address)

Hi !! I follow you and love your blog !!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for following Even Miracles! Excited to follow yours as well!
DeleteEnjoy your blog and am a follower now! Pretty scarf too! But I think I enjoy most your deep faith in God and his work in your life - the cute pics from the foster home too. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your sweet note, Lisa. God has been doing so much in my life.... just crazy. It's and up an down adventure with Him!
DeleteI follow you, and have since you started blogging! I love your blog too! Very interesting and I love seeing the pics of all the kiddos!
ReplyDeleteDeb
Deb, Thank you for following my blog for all these years! I hope it has blessed you in some way.
DeleteI love following your blog Anneli, and I think I first commented to you WAAAAY back in 2010 when you were first at NDN, amazing to realize this! I think concerning a sweet girl named Victoria (love that name. I wonder whatever happened to Victoria. I'm sure she is so big now! I wanted to make her one of my first skirts ... but she was adopted into her family before that happened.) Anyway, I'm excited about the scarf giveaway ... One, because I would love to learn how to wear a scarf, ya know, I have never worn one other than the winter kind ... or the not-so-cool kind from back in the 90's. And TWO, I am officially now a "follower" of your blog. I can't believe I've been a lurker ALL THIS TIME! (blush) I guess I officially forgot to join?! Love the give-away! I was just thinking about having one ... but I'm a bit of a procrastinator, so it'll probably happen about Sept. HA! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThat is so crazy that you first started following with Miss Victoria... miss that little girl so much. And crazy how much my life has changed in those 3 years! I'm sorry to say you did NOT win, but I will be happy to give you "scarf tips." Hmmm... maybe that should be a blog post! I had a friend want me to post a scarf tutorial so maybe now that I'm home and the internet is much better here, now is the time. They are so much fun and it's great because you can wear plain shirts and make it look so much cuter with a scarf!
DeleteGive-a-ways are fun! You should do one! :-) Thanks for being such an amazing friend. You are such a blessing to me!
Hey Anneli! It was SO cool to get to meet you (in person) last week! It was such a blessing to see all of the precious NDS children, and how much they are loved and loved on!
ReplyDeleteI've followed your blog for awhile now, but I just officially 'followed'. :) The scarf is so unique. Love it! Great idea for a give-a-way!!
Hope you have a great weekend! ~Katie Lyn (Cooper's Jie Jie)
p.s. Happy Birthday! :)
KK, it was wonderful to meet you in person as well! You are such an incredible young woman and I know that God is going to use you in HUGE ways for His glory! In just the few minutes I chatted with you, I could see the heart you have for orphans.
DeleteThank you for the birthday wishes, it was a birthday I'll never forget!
Hey Anneli,
ReplyDeleteSo as you've probably noticed, I've been reading your blog for a while now. Cause I have this soft place in my heart for New Day. And I've found your openness to God's calling quite inspiring!
I've had you in my Google Reader list for some time, but I just made "following you" official ~ even though my picture is way outdated (at least a child ago...). I'll have to call my husband in to help me change it. :)
I'm trying to work on my "scarf coolness level," so please enter me in the contest!
Blessings to you!
Kristi
I never would have thought New Day would have meant to much to you?! Just kidding.... obviously I know. :-) I'm sure you're scarf coolness level is pretty high! They are so much fun!
DeleteThanks for playing along! I love following your blog as well. :-)
