Sunday Snapshot: Chinese New Year

Happy Chinese New Year!
We have just ended the "Year of the Dragon" and the "Year of the Snake is upon us!"
If this is "your year" apparently you are supposed to wear lots of red.
It's good luck.
This would be YOU if you were born in the years
2001, 1989, 1977, 1965,1953, 1941, or 1929.
If you are older than that (which I would be very impressed if you are and use the internet!) just subtract 12.
This is China's "Christmas" and they go all out!
Lanterns everywhere (yes, even on palm trees).
And lots and lots of RED!
I had some fun the other evening taking pictures of all the decorations.
Orange trees are a southern China New Year's thing.
Also means "good luck."
I just really want to eat the oranges.
Did I mention lots of red?
Happy New Year!
