My Weekend

Wow, what a weekend! Actually more like "what a week!" This week consisted of an adoption, a surgery, and a trip to Hong Kong. Let's just say by the time Sunday came around, it truly was a "day of rest."

Saturday was spent in Hong Kong sharing with some high school students about the Foster Home and ways that they can be involved. See, Hong Kong is just a 90 minute ferry ride away so there are lots of opportunities for these students to be involved, including visiting our kids!

I can't get over how absolutely GORGEOUS Hong Kong is. The hills are magnificent. This was the view from the classroom we were in. Goodness, if I was in a class with that view, I would not get any work done!

My trip to HK fell at a perfect time as I was due to leave China one more time for my visa before my trip home in March. I received my last entry stamp on this visa and when I have home this spring, I will be applying for a new visa.

This trip was rather short, just a day trip. However, I got a stamp and a bacon cheeseburger so I was one happy girl! Oh my goodness, I don't think I have had a cheeseburger that tasted so good. Who knew that Ruby Tuesday's was an international restaurant?

As I mentioned earlier, Sunday was a day of rest. After a 12 hour day on Friday for Sweetheart's surgery, and an almost 12 hour day on Saturday with the trip to Hong Kong, Sunday was spent calling my family, a nap, and a pedicure. Sounds like a pretty good Sunday to me!

  1. Wow! I'm tired just reading about your weekend! So glad the surgery went well and that your trip to HK was successful! I pray this week will give you many opportunities to shine for the Lord!
