There have been a lot of changes happening in the foster home. December was a busy month with two adoptions taking place. My Sweet Girl and our Handsome Boy both left to join the forever families. In just a few days Princess will be leaving to join her forever family. Yes, I am thrilled for them but I will admit, it has taken some getting used to. Especially in my class room. 2 out of my 5 students have either been adopted or are about to be adopted!
Therefore, I have made some changes. Since I will be down to just 2 students next week, I decided to have the "next 2 in line" join a fully class day rather than just music time.
Today was their first day of class. And between one child being sick, another refusing to come to class, and the third being naughty and sent out.... I was left with my two newest students. And you know what? I loved it. After having the same class for the last 9 months, I was a bit sad to see the dynamic changing so drastically. But honestly, it's not so bad.
I am excited for this next season. To watch these little ones grow and learn until they join their forever families of their very own. Then it will be on to the next group.
