One of My Favorite Things…

I don’t like to brag…

BUT….

I’m pretty sure I have the best job in the whole world.

I wear many hats at the foster home,

but I must admit one of my very favorites is “Preschool Teacher.”

I’ve never been called to teach.

Never really felt gifted in that area.

However, over the years, I’ve somehow managed to find myself working with kids a lot and included in that is teaching.

Whether it’s in a classroom or just one-on-one.

One of the joys of working with orphans, is watching them learn.

I remember the first time my Darling learned how to correctly hold a crayon.

Or when my Handsome Guy counted to 10 for the first time in English by himself (yes, it brought me to tears).

Or when my Sweet Girl realized how much fun stickers were and what you actually did with them.

And the list goes on.

They are like sponges at this age.

I’m always amazed at how quickly they catch on.

And what amazes me even more is that they are catching on to it all IN ENGLISH.

Goodness…. now if only I could learn Chinese that quickly.

Yep, my job is pretty great.

And yes… I may be bragging just a little… : )
