In the Arms of Jesus…. Two Little Angels

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

Romans 8:28

The week just continues to get more and more difficult. There is definitely a spiritual battle going on here…. but God is winning.

This past Wednesday (June 26th), we were to bring in our 9th baby. She had several special needs, but we were so excited to bring this precious little one in and love her. However on Monday (June 24th) we received word that this little one passed away.

Just 2 days before she was to join us.

How could she have died? I just saw her 2 weeks ago and yes, she needed medical attention but she did not look that weak. She had the brightest eyes… this desire to live. But God knew the number of days she would live on this earth and apparently it was her time to go home. Even though I ache because I never got to hold her. Never got to sing to her or pray over her. And what hurts the most is that she never knew the love of a family of her own.

But I know she is in the arms of Jesus. And she is whole and no longer in pain. I can’t help but smile when I think about it.

And just when we thought the pain was over….

We received another call yesterday. Another little one that we were hoping to bring in also passed away. This was the little girl that gripped my heart. The one that I have been thinking about and praying for during the past 2 weeks. The one I was advocating for. She was extremely malnourished, but I couldn’t wait to love her back to health. And to watch God work a miracle. But she is now home with Him now.

God could have let them live. But He chose not too.

He could have worked a miracle. But He didn’t.

Or maybe He did?

Maybe the fact that we met them and loved them WAS the miracle. The fact that people were grieving over the deaths of these little ones. No, we didn’t even have the chance to know their names or their birthdates.

But they were LOVED.

And they are missed.
