water issue

So we have not had water at our apartment for the past 24 hours. We were told beforehand that it is totally normal to have our water turn off, that's just part of living in a third world country. Anyways, so yesterday morning about 7:15 a.m. our water turned off. Hasn't been on since and it is 12:30 p.m. today. BB ended up sending a text to Caroline just wondering how long it would be until probably our water would be back on. Apparently we need to put a new water card thing in every so often so I guess that is why it was shut off. So..... we are hopefully getting that today and then hopefully our water will be back. I think it's funny now that we all had no idea that we were supposed to get this card and our apartment is a mess. We haven't been able to take showers (eww) or wash dishes or do laundy. Thankfully it's only been a day. : )

 

Today is going well. It is Wednesday here in China and the days are just extremely slow with Chinese New year coming up on Sunday. We had talked about possibly going into Beijing for a few days but we never did anything about it, so I'm not sure if that is happening or not. I'm honestly perfectly content just sleeping in every day next week and relaxing. Looking foward to a little vacation even if I've only been here 3 weeks. : )
