split pants & well dressed dogs

So in China there are these pants called "split pants" that the kids in China wear. They are basically pants with a slit in the crotch so that kids can just squat and go. Well, it is winter here and Beijing and around 30 degrees for the most part. So I have not seen many kids wearing these and the kids at the foster home wear diapers (thankfully). On our way home yesterday, Nicole and I experienced for the first time a man holding his son so that he could "go." Wow.... the states are so different from here.

 

I've also noticed that the dogs that the chinese people have as pets are also dressed very well. I find it interesting that they either eat dogs or have them as pets. The other day I saw a little dog wearing a silk pantsuit. I'm not sure if it was his Chinese new year outfit or his every day attire. It was so funny and I really wanted to get a picture but I didn't. Today on my way to work, I saw a little furry dog in denim overalls and a shirt...... very interesting. I'll definately try and get some pictures of these "well dressed dogs."
