“Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”
~Hebrews 11:1
I love when God answers prayers. Friday night I was having a tough night. Just a lot on my mind and a lot of doubt had been creeping in. The support hasn’t exactly been “pouring” in and even though it has only been a few short weeks since my letters went out, I began doubting. Doubting is what happens when we take our eyes off of Christ and place them on our circumstances. I know WITHOUT a doubt that God is calling me to China. He has never made anything so crystal clear in my whole life. Therefore, I KNOW that He will provide. However I have to have faith that He will do it. And just like the above verse states, “faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” It’s hard to see how this is all going to come together in 2 1/2 months which is my goal to head overseas. But I know that God will make it happen in the timing it is supposed too.
I bought this necklace in China when I was there in 2010. It says “faith” in Chinese. My middle name is Faith and it has always been a very special part of my life. Over a month ago, my chain to this necklace broke and I found the chain but the charm was gone. I tried not to get too upset because after all it is just a material possession. However, that necklace has reminded me over and over of God’s faithfulness. And it just broke my heart that I had lost it. Yes, I could be replaced but it wouldn’t quite be the same.
Friday night was my rough night right? I remember praying and asking God for another sign that He is working and that this is part of His plan. Saturday morning my aunt texted me asking me if I had lost a Chinese character charm. It was on the steps going into their house.
Not only did God remind me of His faithfulness and yes, this IS His plan for my life, but I also got my necklace back. God is going to provide. I just have to have faith in Him that He will like He says He will.

I am praying for you and truly believe He will supply ALL of your needs. I'm not sure who got your letter or what all it said, but I'm guessing it was probably a lot of family members?! ~ so maybe they are just waiting until Christmas to bless you with their gift along with their Christmas card to you. He is Sovereign and if He calls you to it, He will will make it happen. And we already KNOW He has made the call, so the rest is history {in the making!!}
