Happy 6th "gotcha day" Kiah Hope RuiQing!!!

Well it has been 6 years since Feng Rui Qing was placed in my parents arms at the Holiday Inn hotel in Guiyang, Guizhou province, China. She was a shy, 15 month old who didn't know how much her world was going to change. Now, she is Kiah Hope RuiQing, a very outgoing 7 year old who is finishing up 1st grade. We can't imagine our lives without our little sweetheart. It is amazing how much she has changed in 6 years and yet it feels as though she has always been a part of our family. It is a very bittersweet "gotcha day" for me, as I'm not sure if I'll be around for Kiah's next "gotcha day" or not. Since it is also Memorial Day, we are headed up to the lake for Memorial Day and Kiah's "gotcha day" celebration. Her cake theme this year is the Olympic rings since the Olympics will be held in Beijing this summer.

Happy 6th "gotcha day" Kiah Hope RuiQing Johnson. We love you sweetie and can't imagine our lives without you in it!

  1. Aww, happy "gotcha day" Kiah! She sure is a cutie (and my goodness how much she's grown up in 6 years- of course!)
