I think sometimes we take for granted the people God places in our lives. I know for me, I often do this. I think that because God gave them to me, that He will allow them to stay forever, when I have definitely learned in the last few months that this is not always the case. God gives and takes away and that includes the friends and people He places in our lives.
I have been blessed to have two amazing friends apart of my life the last few years. We’re kind of like the “3 Muskateers.” Pretty much if you see one of us, the other two aren’t far behind. It has been such a blessing and an honor to be apart of these two amazing woman’s lives. They have been there for me through the highs and the lows of life. Through the tears of sadness and the late nights and are there to celebrate with me in my joys and happiness. I mean they even let me go to China for 4 months and still wanted to be friends with me when I got back! And above everything else that stands out, is their love for the Lord. I can call either of them up and just pray with them and know that they are praying for me. I’ve had a pretty rough few months and the number of text messages I would receive that would just let me know that they loved me, were praying for me, and where there for me, and reminding me that God was and is working. That means the world. A true friend is there for you in the good as well as the bad. Not there to give you advice all the time but to just listen and love you.
The three of us are about to go separate ways in the next few months. Rachel to Chicago, Laura to Africa and me to…. well, that’s not common news yet. ; ) Even though who knows when God will bring us together again, I know they are always there for me no matter where we are. I thank the Lord for having our paths cross.
Here are a few pictures from our adventures last Saturday…. we’re umm… a little abnormal. : )

ReplyDeleteSo glad God blessed you with these beautiful women in your life... these kind of friends only come along once in a great while, so treasure every moment you have with them... I know you do!
And for the record, ya'all look pretty 'normal' to me! ;) (so what's that say about me!?!) LOL!!
God bless you all as you part ways on the paths He has set before you! Life is an adventure, so make the most of every moment you are given!! <><
