I'm Back

Hello, long lost blog friends! Where did I last leave off? Oh that's right, I was getting ready to fly to South Korea for two weeks, told you to check back on my blog for updates on my trip, and then..... I never wrote a single thing. That was June, friends. June! Four months ago! I used to be such a consistent blogger, especially when I was living in China. I'm not sure exactly what happened other than, when I don't take pictures of adorable children every day, life seem's less exciting to share. Life has become "normal." I go to work Monday - Friday, I hang out with friends, I read, I watch Netflix, and attend two Bible studies each week. Once in a while, something exciting may be thrown in there to switch up my routine a little, like a trip to Asia or back to my beloved New York to visit with friends and family. But other than that, life has been pretty routine. It's not the worst thing, just harder to find things to write about when you aren't gallivanting around on the other side of the world. But, one thing that Lord has been laying on my heart a lot lately is that "I still have a voice and a story to share." No, it may not be quite as adventurous as it used to be 3 years ago (side note, friends: I moved back to the United States over 2 years ago!! How did that happen?!), but it's still a story worth sharing. I love when my time hop previous blog posts pop up. It's so fun to re-live those memories and see all the ways the Lord has worked in my life. I miss that. He is totally working now, I just don't document it. And so, this is my attempt of "getting back in the game." I know, I know I've said that before and I'm not making any promises. I won't be posting nearly as often as I used to, but I would like to have several posts a month. Once a week would  be a victory for me.

So here go, back on this blogging adventure. The Lord has been teaching me so much lately and I can't wait to share it with all of you!

Happy Sunday, sweet friends!

Heading East

I am currently hanging out in the Houston airport waiting for my flight to Tokyo and then onto Seoul. I figured it was a good time to revive this old blog of mine, since it really only comes back to life when I travel!

I have the incredible opportunity to travel back to Korea again for two weeks. It's a beautiful country and culture and I'm excited to have the opportunity to explore it once again. It will look very similar to my trip last summer but also a few new things that I have not experienced yet.

Packing is never my favorite part, but I do make a game out of seeing how light I can pack. I had to check two suitcases with Dillon things, but my personal belongings all fit into my carry-on's. Yes, it's a talent of mine. Don't judge if I'm wearing the same clothes in all my pictures for the next two weeks.

After hardly sleeping last night with all that was on my mind, I was up at 3:30 this morning to finish up some last minute things before heading off to the airport for my 6:30 flight. Whoever thought that flights leaving this early was a good idea... "ugh" is all I have to say. I was able to doze off for a bit on my short hour flight from Tulsa.

Next stop.... Tokyo! One of these days maybe I'll actually make it into Japan and not just the airport which I have visited several times.

Iff you want to follow along, I'll probably be updated Instagram much more frequently than my blog. You can find me at: annelifjohnson.

Birthdays and Baseball

It was so wonderful being back in New York with family for 11 days. I especially happy that I was able to be there to Celebrate "Micah man's" 4th birthday! Like most things Johnson related, it was a baseball themed party.

The one request I had for my trip home was to watch some ball games. Between Thad, Tage, and Kiah, I watched 9 games in 11 days, 4 were in less than 48 hours of being home!

Tailgating at Thad's game!

The little boys favorite part of the game, after when they can go out on the field and play catch with Uncle Thad.

I'm now back in Tulsa, getting caught up on work in the office. I am trying to get caught up as quickly as possible because in just a few short weeks I'll be gone or another two weeks. This time for another trip to Korea!

Home Sweet Home

Nothing quite like being home with family. As much as I love Oklahoma, it is hard to be away from family, especially from my sweet nephews and niece. Babies change so quickly and that is definitely the case with Miss Quinlan. She was just 5 months old at Christmastime and now at 9 months, she is crawling and jabbering away. Even though it was a chilly few hours at the Bona game, it was so fun to see these sweet kiddos and of course watch Thad play! It was too cold to take lots of pictures, but I did grab my camera from the car for a few shots.

You can't go to a baseball game without your glove!

I love this picture of Micah and Landon with Thad at bat in the background.

They rolled down this hill probably 25 times. It was making me dizzy just watching them!

It's also super fun dropping rocks down the drain. This kept them entertained for quite a while. Between this and rolling down the hill, they were happy.

Sweet baby girl!

My time in NY always goes way too fast. Soaking up every minute I can!
